homemade embellishments

I was reading the Scrapbook Steals blog and one of their craft challenges was to make your own embellishments. Sounded fun so here's what I made!

I used two of my fave colors (coral and kraft) and a sheet of Teresa Collins' You are My Happy paper to make these tags and embellies. I die cut some shapes, stamped and fussy-cut images (Dutch Mustard Soup), and then layered them all up.

Here's some close-ups:

coffee thanks gift envelope

I've got one more coffee-themed project to link up to the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.
I made a little gift sack just big enough to include a note and a gift card. It's always good to have these around. There's always a friend, neighbor, teacher, etc that could use one!

I used Unity's Coffee Side by Side stamp (which is on sale right now!) and colored it in with some bright summery colors using my Spectrum Noir markers.

Then just layered the image and some paper, die cuts, and twine on top of a kraft bag.

Yum. Those little cups all look so yummy.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a great weekend!

happy birthday dude

I needed a quick birthday card for a party my son's going to.

I used a couple Simon Says Stamp sets (Cupcake Party and Dude) and some scraps of paper to layer everything. I think it looks just masculine enough. And it's for a boy. Who will probably look at it for all of 0.6 seconds. So no stress. But it was still fun to make.

Have a great weekend!

summer coffee lovers blog hop

Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop
It's time for another Coffee Lovers blog hop! Check out the hop details here for more info and all the prize sponsors.

My first project is a clean and simple card.

I kept it nice and easy with this fun Unity stamp.
I colored the images with my Crafter's Companion colored pencils and blended with mineral spirits.

Aren't they so cute??
